Rockin’ Jewelry for this 4th Of July!
The 4th of July is just around the corner. Instead of wearing red, white, and blue why not accessorize with red, white, and blue. Accessorize with some festive jewelry for this free-spirited holiday.
Try this cute outfit featuring some Chibi jewels and a pair of Chromatic Gallerie pumps (Zoe Deschanel loves these pumps and has the same pair in red). This outfit is really casual and deffinetly more layed back but then the short pumps dress it up just a touch more. The jewelry I paired with the outfit was really cute and casual as well. I love the wire detailing through the stars. The scarf, however, is what gives this outfit its Fourth of July flare.
Or try this outfit featuring Shoemint wedges, Adesso necklace and bracelet, and Jewlmint earrings. This outfit is a bit more dressy, so this would be really cute if you were going to someones barbecue and the wedges would be perfect for dancing! Also, in this outfit I used blue as the central color for the dress, which cinches at the waist to give some shape, and the jewelry was more red, and white. I love the earnings from Jewelmint. They have a very tribal feel to them wich is also really in-style.
In both of these looks I would pair these retro sunglasses from Dita.
I would definitely wear both of the outfits above. It all depends on where you are going and your personal style.
Both of these outfits were created on Polyvore.com. Follow me with the username : zaynabissa to see full prices and details on the pieces shown above.

Stomping around in @JackLily_shoes
A very special post from my sister in Edmonton!
When little feet start pitter-pattering, it’s time for shoe shopping! Scott started walking just before his first birthday, right as spring arrives and we want to get outside. In choosing his first ‘real’ footwear, I wanted shoes that are light but well built, with good ankle support that will help those toddling steps before confident strides and eventually full-out sprints. There are several ‘pre-walkers’ that’s ideal, except my son’s got big feet. His first pair of runners were size 5.5.
We came across Jack and Lily and decided to try them. There is a wide selection in styles and colours and we picked the Argyle Whites. When they arrived in the mail, I was delighted first of all with the cute little box they come in, complete with a clear window and a handle on top. The shoes themselves are fantastic. Lightweight, with a sturdy yet thin sole, these little guys are well made works of art.
Instead of the single digit sizing, Jack and Lily has a range of months sizing, much like kids clothing. For us, the shoes were a little big for now, so we will have to save them for a while til Scott grows into them. I am curious to see how well the soles hold up on slippery surfaces as it does not have many ridges that works as anti-skidding.

We will let you know in a couple months! For more high quality children’s footwear made with love from Vancouver, check out http://www.jackandlily.com
