The Day I Met Dune
Opening the first store in London, their humble single store beginning in ’93 has now grown to 44 standalone stores and 163 galleries (in stores like Selfridges) throughout the UK and Ireland. Dune is now also standing on the international stage, debuting in over 13 countries, predominantly in the Middle East.
The subtle details and unique arrangements are what caught my attention and is doing so, increasingly, in a market near you.

The brand new Audi A7
The Interior Design Show always features some bad ass car, and this year there were TWO of them. The men were oohing, aahing and trying not to drool, but they were totally loving the rides!

Design LOVE: IDS 2011
IDS 11 was this past weekend, and I was more than happy to be there to celebrate another year of design goodness! I hadn’t realized that I had taken so many pictures (over 500 to be exact), so it’s going to take some time for me to share all of them with you, as I have no computer 🙁

Design LOVE: CUTMR 2011
I got a sneak peek of CUTMR 2011 when I attended the press preview event at the Gladstone Hotel in downtown Toronto last Thursday.

Never to disappoint, CUTMR featured unique, yet wonderful designs and installations. I also had a lovely time getting to know some of the designers.
Triptych by Mark McLeanThe exhibition was opened to the public on Friday, and although I wasn’t able to attend on the weekend; I heard lots of people came out and showed the designers some love. Two thumbs up!

Design by Lubo Brezina and Scott Eunson-This structure was so big I couldn’t take a picture of the whole thing. I think it’s beautiful, and the story behind it is even more beautiful!Another favorite of mine was the De-spaced room by Kira Varvanina, unfortunately it was impossible to take a picture of it.
