    Shackle with @ITSJEREMYSCOTT @Adidas

A new Adidas sneaker has sparked outrage, with sneaker fans accusing the brand of promoting racism. The Roundhouse Mid “Handcuff” shoe, created by controversial New York designer Jeremy Scott, features a plastic orange shackle that attaches to each ankle. The $350 sneakers hit stores in August, but Adidas promoted them on their official Facebook page on June 14 with this quote: “Tighten up your style with the JS Roundhouse Mids, dropping in August. Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles?” While the brand may be making a cheeky statement about shoe theft, many are equating these binding devices with slavery and prisoners. At press time the “Handcuff” sneaker image has over 36,000 Facebook likes, but many of the comments are angry and disapproving.

    Kicking it with @Palladium_Boots

I have been looking for the perfect summer shoe that can take the heat, the Brooklyn streets and have the style and comfort I want.  I know everyone is lusting for the wedge sneakers lately but I had something else in mind.  Let me introduce you to the Palladium Slim Chukka.

This is the off white + pool blue colorway and (they also come in black + pool blue as well)

These leather sneakers look so cute because of their jute (a glossy fiber like burlap) espadrille-style foxing (looks like brown spots on old paper). But what makes the Chukka Slims so special is the Repreve ® certified recycled yarn is used to weave the Dri-Lex ® lining that wicks moisture and keeps the feet dry – very very necessary for summer days, no stinky toes!  I can’t wait to wear these with my favorite cut off shorts and dresses.

They are SO adorable – You really can’t ask for a more low profile sneaker that goes with everything!
