    Wedding planning guide for noobs

Not every woman wants to get married nor does every girl keep a box of her wedding dreams under the bed, but those who do – now they are to be adored for their lovely enthusiasm and joy.

However, what appears to be very symptomatic with the future brides is that, while they serve as perfect bridesmaids and could easily take up on a role of wedding planners in those moments, when it comes to their wedding – they get entirely lost and overwhelmed. After all, there’s so much to do behind the scenes and an already fragile, excited bride-to-be can’t possibly handle it all without proper organization.

If you are one of the future, adorable brides with no clue what to do next, we’re giving you an insight into things that’ll help you organize your glorious wedding and give it that sweet, personal flair. We’ve made the entire list based on the most common errors brides make or oversee, so – enjoy your read and all the future planning:

    Only the loved ones

Yes, your dear aunty from there and there did send a card, wishing you a happy marriage but given you can barely remember her face, let alone anything else about her, it’s safe to say she isn’t going to cut the guest list… just like plenty others won’t.

Cut throat! That’s the bride we love! To enjoy your wedding fully, without much drama (and consideration for people you don’t actually know all that well), the key is to invite the people you love, see or talk to often, and those who keep your heart warm. Even if your wedding turns out to be smaller than you’d expected, that’s okay – all of them are people that’ll help make unforgettable memories with you on your fabulous day.

    Keep it original

An all-white wedding invitation may be a great, elegant choice, but so will a vibrant, personalized one! Hey, just remember – how many of the all-white invitations have you stashed in a drawer somewhere and have no idea whose weddings were they from! To make your W-day memorable and your guests pleasantly surprised with their invitations, choose personalized wedding invitation templates that are absolutely you!

    Bridesmaids can do it alone

We are absolutely sure you aren’t one of those annoying brides forcing her gusto onto everyone else, especially the bridesmaids. Be your quirky, free-spirit self and let the bridesmaids choose their own dresses! The only thing you should be supervising is the style they opt for… no one wants a bridesmaid dressed in circus colors, right? Well, unless that’s the wedding theme!

    Dress for amazement

While most brides love going shopping for their wedding gown with their best friend, we strongly suggest you do it alone. Or, at least – do the first few rounds of browsing by yourself and present your bestie with your final options. Then, go for some champagne and wedding gown try-ons and make it a day!

The best way to start your gown hunting is to explore online offers, magazine editorials and search for the best wedding shops in your town (or towns around). You’d be surprised what all you’ll find!

    Venue is key

Just as choosing the right gown is crucial for the bride’s look so is picking a venue for the entire wedding vibe. The type of venue you opt for is the type of wedding you’re planning to hold – so make sure you pick right! If you are going for a theme wedding, make sure you talk it out with the venue renters – while some venues are super excited to offer pre-planning options (some even offer decoration, too), others aren’t that enthusiastic about it. Oh and – explore your options, don’t book until you are sure!

We wish you a happy and beautiful wedding and a lovely married life afterward. Send us some pics!

Peter Abruzzo Introduces “The Tech Tuxedo”

What defines a mogul? What defines an innovator? If I could summarize my definition of the two, Peter Abruzzo would be the answer. As CEO of Xedo, an online tuxedo rental company, Peter Abruzzo is changing the game as we know it. His dedication to anything he sets his mind to is second to none. His sphere of influence is massive. From formal wear to bridal to banking and everything in between, he has influenced success and created defining moments for many industries. In the words of Mr. Abruzzo, “Xedo is poised well to revolutionize the tuxedo rentalindustry.”

Screen Shot 2016-05-14 at 5.08.06 PM
Xedo was inspired by leveraging the impeccable heritage of ACS Clothing Group. It was established in Glasgow two decades ago and has evolved from a Scottish wholesale supplier into UK’s leading provider of formalwear. Peter Abruzzo’s success dates back to an early age when in 1979, he took over his Grandfather’s tuxedo rental company formed in the 1920’s. He recalls this as a defining moment in his journey. At the age of ten, Peter wanted to be involved in everything business. He embraced every aspect of running his grandfather’s company and had a huge appetite to learn as much as he could from the people he looked up to most: his grandfather, a master tailor, and his father, a marketing genius. Some of these valuable lessons have stood the test of time and continue to influence Peter’s decisions today. Peter took this store and turned it into 550 storelocations in record breaking time, becoming one of the highest grossing formal wear companies nationwide.
Prior to Xedo, Peter was at the helm of his consulting firm for over a decade. He worked alongside CEOs of formal wear and bridal powerhouses, helping to lead the exponential growth of each brand. With an eye for business model analysis and restructuring, some of Peter’s accomplishments include facilitating the integration of David’s Bridal and After Hours, as well as being instrumental in the turnaround of a division of Men’s Wearhouse, more than doubling revenue.
His plans for the future include expanding its celebrity partnerships and diversifying its product suite to include suit rentals. Having already built the #1 formalwear company in the U.S.,Peter’s goal now is the help build the #1 formalwear company in the world. By combining the creative talent of today’s top designers with the industry-leading ability of ACS Group, Xedo is offering a higher-quality, better-fitting tux; a Perfect Match accessory color matching system; and 100% online wedding party management. Xedo will reinvent rental worldwide, enabling partners tomeet the needs of today’s digitally driven Millennial clientele.

His advice for you future entrepreneurs: always follow your dreams. Never give up and always give everything you do 150%! The most important thing is to find something you love to do and do it wellsomething that makes you want to jump out of bed every morning to get to work and need to be reminded when it’s time to leave. Take the word “No” out of your vocabulary. There’s always a way to make it happen…find the right people to align with and the answer will come.

Looking Good: Styling Your Hair and Make-Up On Your Wedding Day

Once you have planned your dream wedding day to the final detail, it can be difficult to know how to style your hair and makeup. There is so much choice with different bridal styles. Bridal hair magazines have a wide range of different, gorgeous styles. Let’s be honest, the choice can be overwhelming. Do you go for a classic up do? Or do you choose something a little simpler? When you start considering how to wear your makeup on the day, suddenly it all becomes something of a minefield. Most brides are ready to throw the towel in at this point! It can be very difficult to decide how to style your look for the most important day in your life.

Many brides are keen to look like a better version of themselves. Makeup and hair can be a trial for many women. Some prefer the DIY route, whereas others want a professional makeup artist to assist them with the quest of looking the best.

Whatever route you choose to take, there are some utterly divine hair and makeup styling tips that you can use on your dream day. Let’s take a look at them.

Look Like You: That’s Who He Fell in Love With

While it may be tempting to pile on a heap of makeup and look like someone else for the day, this is not the route to take. But, if you don’t use contouring makeup and tricks of the trade in reality, you certainly don’t want to do that on your wedding day. Think about Kim Kardashian. She wore a lot of makeup on her wedding day, but she is a big fan of makeup in the first instance.

Think about your own personal style in the main. If you wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis, toning it down on your wedding day may cause people to be somewhat surprised. Likewise, if you are more of a natural beauty which only wears a slick of mascara, caking on the foundation will surprise your guests too. You want to look like you, but better. Wear the makeup that you always wear, but opt for top quality brands and implement a skin care regimen so that you look fantastic.

DIY or Professional Route: Which is Better?

It all depends on your own skills and expertise. If you are not au fait with putting on makeup, doing your own may be somewhat problematic. After all, you want to look fabulous. So, if you are a little slapdash with makeup, it may be ideal to get in a professional makeup artist. This will ensure that you look picture perfect for the main event. You don’t have to do this with your bridesmaids. You can look the bell of the ball and leave them to do their own makeup. Consider how you want to look on your big day and communicate clearly with your makeup artist. There are a wealth of wedding planning tips and articles online, so make sure that you use them. Go for trials and see how they complete your look. You need to make sure that you are comfortable with the makeup that they put you in. If not, it may be advisable to do it yourself.

    Don’t Forget to Prime!

If you haven’t heard of primer, you must have been living under a rock. Primer is the key to making your face look flawless. Primer is the ultimate beauty to have at your disposal. On your wedding, this is going to be vital. Ensure that you have a good quality primer that assists you with your makeup and skin tone. You should prime your face for a perfect finish. What is more, primer will ensure that any blemishes within your skin are reduced. It is critical that you have this with you. Pores and fine lines will be filled in, giving a matte like smooth appearance. This will make your wedding photos look nothing short of amazing.

Hair Styles: What Are the Top Trends for 2015?

Many brides will forgo fashion when it comes to their dress. But, having the perfect hairstyle will very much depend on trends. You want to look nothing short of fabulous, but your hairstyle should compliment your wedding dress.

There are some incredible ways to wear your hair on your wedding day. Here are our top picks.

    Up-Do’s: Simple and Elegant

Many brides-to-be choose to have a simple, yet elegant up do. This is, usually, done with brides who are keen to include a veil or tiara as part of their accessories. There is a wealth of up do options that you can consider. Some people have curls that are pinned to the lower portion of their head with bobby pins. Others incorporate braids and curls into a side bun. There is a wealth of up do choice. It all depends on what accessories you have chosen. For many women with tiaras, headbands and slides they want to keep their hair the focal point. The accessories are used to compliment the hair style and add a touch of glamour to their hair.

    Bohemian Waves

If you have something of a bohemian style wedding dress that is adorned with lace, pure waves can look enchanting. Think Kate Moss and add a simple flower to your hair. This can look very elegant, but also not ‘overdone’. The key to keeping it bohemian is to accessorize less for maximum impact.

    Curly Girl

Some ladies choose to have a full set of curls on their wedding day. This is perfect for brides that have chosen a strapless dress and want to cover their bare shoulders in some way. Having a beautiful extended set of curls can look stunning. But, this style tends to compliment those that have a veil placed in their hair. This is so that the form looks more like a wedding do. After all, many of us curl our hair for a night out anyway. You want your hair to look truly unique on your big day.

There are so many options to consider when you are getting married. But, having the perfect makeup, and hairstyle can really enhance the look of your dress.
