    Lights, camera, FASHION

Myself, Nick, TK and Arti (she’s a montreal based designer)

LG Fashion Week FW 11 is here, and we are having so much FUN! Yesterday was my first day of LGFW festivities, and what a day it was. I loved, loved, LOVED the Micalla show, I was practically drooling with every piece that I saw… for real. I’m trying to retrieve the pictures off of a media card that decided to go psycho, right after the show was done, so stay tuned.

I have video footage from the DUY, Krane, LOVAS, Comrags and Attitude by Jay Manuel shows; so if you weren’t able to attend, or missed these show, I got you boo! ha ha ha. I’ll be uploading the videos ASAP.

I was totally impressed with the ATTITUDE by Jay Manuel collection, LOVAS stole my heart with the bows, the DUY collection was mm mmm good, and I dug the Krane show… even though I was worried those boys were going to break a neck or something with those acrobatics… Oh and shoutout to Christian for KILLING that runway in the Krane show 🙂

Catch all my crazy #lgfw updates here

    stay fly!

    peace, love and health

    Hair Bling for the Spring

Accessorizing with a little bling (or a lot!) is always a great way to step up your look a notch.  A bit of dazzle naturally has a way of drawing eyes in your direction.  But usually when you think bling, you think necklaces, earrings, rings, etc.  Well, MICABeauty Cosmetics doesn’t want your hair to get left out this season—and Glisten hair jewelry ($19.95) are crystals that make your tresses pop!

Applying the gems is really simple and only requires a flat iron.  They last up to a couple weeks and even allow you to style your hair as usual while wearing them.  What I love about these is that they add an unexpected element to your look and are completely DIY.

They come in 5 colors: rainbow, pink, clear, green and blue.

I want you to be able to get your bling on, too, so I am giving away a set of Glisten hair jewelry to 2 readers!  Entering for a chance to win is super each: First, follow me on Twitter @OAAinNYC and tell me why you want some bling in your hair this spring. Then DM me on Twitter with: “MICABella Glisten”.  Two winners will be chosen at random.  The contest ends on Friday, April 15th.

Check out www.micabeauty.com for more information about Glisten and their other products.

    kisses, Olisa

    The Day I Met Dune

Opening the first store in London, their humble single store beginning in ’93 has now grown to 44 standalone stores and 163 galleries (in stores like Selfridges) throughout the UK and Ireland. Dune is now also standing on the international stage, debuting in over 13 countries, predominantly in the Middle East.

The subtle details and unique arrangements are what caught my attention and is doing so, increasingly, in a market near you.

    Hairgum

When I first saw hairgum, I was so excited to see what it is all about. In tins similar to shoe polish, there is a range of products for all hair types.  Styling products are so tricky. Since I was born with bone straight Asian hair, I never had to tame curls or cowlicks – I am such a wash and go kinda girl.  But since learning about Hairgum and what it can do for my short ‘do – I became a true fan!  They range from different finishes like matte or glossy to different holds like strong, texture, movements etc… Best of all, everything is moving towards organic ingredients, process and certification! It smells good and it works.

    HAIRGUM

Jean Marc FERT, Founder and CEO of Ariland Laboratory since 1998, has always heavily involved in the network professional hairdressing. His will benefit from 10 years of experience in the professional circuit and put his expertise to the largest number by offering a range of products at once professional and the most natural possible. Our first requirement was to eliminate all forms of our chemistry. Our second imperative: Ecocert certification label and cosmetics.
