Different dogs need different brushes! And while Jacob use to love the Zoom Groom tool, it really doesn’t work on Cami’s fur. She has been using more a of hacksaw blade type brush from SleekEZ for her everyday shedding. Here is her friend Bongo, who is a Schnauzer mix and he needs another type of brush too! Cami’s Favorite Things – Spring Edition

Lazy Dog Restaurant! We found this super cute lunch spot with a dog friendly patio and dog menu too! They have various locations and we went to the one at the Town Square mall in Vegas.

Precious Metal Prints has the cutest new ‘kit’ available for pet parents! A custom gold or silver nose print pendant. I have been obsessed with wearing this and I love how unique and meaningful it is. I have been wearing it as a ‘lucky’ charm!
First they send you a little kit with 2 polymers. One is blue and one is white. Separately they don’t do much and feel a bit like oily Play-Doh. Once you combine it, it makes a ‘moldable compound’ that will harden. So quickly mix the 2 together and press it on your dogs dry and clean nose then let it set. Next, I sent the nose to Precious Metal Prints and 2 weeks later, I got my neckace.

National Puppy Day
PTSD has become an epidemic among America’s veteran population. There are as many as 22 veterans a day taking their own lives as a result of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Paws For Purple Hearts (PPH) and its founder Bonnie Bergin have helped turn the tide by using “Warrior Canine Therapy” to fight PTSD and change the lives of our struggling veterans for the better. Since 9/11, more than 2.7 million American men and women have bravely served our country. Nearly half have returned with a service-related disability. A large portion of this group has some level of PTSD, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and related behavioral health issues. When these warriors help care for and train the PPH puppies and dogs that will become service dogs for their fellow warriors facing mobility challenges, PTSD and/or TBI, theyreceive a powerful therapy that helps mitigate the symptoms of their unseen war wounds. PPH’s motto “Warriors Helping Warriors” is based on this concept.

America’s veterans have given everything for our country – both physically and mentally. So many of us give thanks for the freedoms this great country provides us but often we forget the men and women who risk their lives to defend them.

Trauma-related behavioral health challenges such as PTSD are often forgotten about because they cannot be seen everyday like a missing leg or arm. For many veterans it can be more deadly than the places they were deployed because they cannot escape it. More needs to be done to offer help and support to these men and women.

Paws for Purple Hearts (PPH) is dedicated to supporting our veterans who return from war with PTSD. Every day since 2008, PPH teaches veterans with PTSD to train service dogs for their disabled comrades.
Bonnie Bergin is located in Rohnert Park, CA. As a world-famous canine researcher, she actually invented the service dog concept and founded The Bergin University of Canine Studies, the first and only university in the world that focuses on training dogs and learning about dogs. Cami’s Favorite Things: Christmas Edition
It’s finally Christmas time here in Las Vegas! Cami is officially 1 and 1/2 years old! Time has really flown by and I can’t believe she is a real grown up dog now. She is not a puppy anymore and definitely not the youngest at the park. Cami really LOVES to play with other dogs. I make sure I let her experience a range of toys and treats so she can learn what she likes and doesn’t like. So here is her list of Cami’s favorite things!
