New Music: Quan “Get Away” @donferquan

This song is touching, I never really heard any of Quan’s music, until this song. A very close friend of mine showed me this, and I’ve been in love with his music since. I’m such a music bug and this is one song that makes me emotional as it’s about his son that had pasted away, Kayden. Quan has a Nas like quality of story telling rapping which I think is a great way of getting your message across. Let me let this song show you how talented he really is because I can’t even describe it. What do you think?

Nars Danmari All About Cheeks Palette

    Nars-Danmari-All-About-Cheeks-Palette

I was so ecstatic to pick up the @NARSissist Danmari All About Cheeks Palette from Sephora during the Friends and Family promo. This Sephora exclusive, limited edition palette is inspired by classical Japanese dance drama… hence, the name Danmari.

From left to right: Hungry Heart, Super Orgasm, Desire, Casino, Orgasm, and Sin

The Danmari Palette features six gorgeous blushes and bronzers from Nars’ permanent collection: Hungry Heart, Super Orgasm, Desire, Casino, Orgasm, and Sin. Hungry Heart is a pretty golden ivory color, great for highlighting or adding a bit of shimmer. Super Orgasm is a pink peach shade with large flecks of gold glitter, something I’d save for a night out. Desire is a bright pink, cotton candy color, great for adding an youthful pink flush to your cheeks. Casino is a pretty golden shimmery brown bronzer, an awesome color for the winter without making your face look muddy. Orgasm, Nars’ most popular blush, is a pretty peachy pink with gold shimmer. It’s perfect for day or night at anytime of year. Sin is a berry-plum shade with golden shimmer, a beautiful color for fall.

This is a great palette because it has all the blushes and bronzers i’d need when travelling in one cute, compact case. The colors are gorgeous and would work all year round but especially for the cooler months. The Danmari Palette is, unfortunately, limited edition so you better snatch yours up quick. It was sold out on Sephora.com for the longest time but it’s back in stock and i’m sure your local Sephora has them still (hopefully).

If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, this Danmari All About Cheeks Palette is definitely the winner. It’s a $107 value for just $65 which also makes it a great holiday stocking stuffer. What woman in her right mind wouldn’t love a NARS blush/bronzer palette!

    xo, June 🙂

    #OccupyWallStreet

Whether or not you support Occupy Wall Street, one thing is for sure–this is history in the making.

I walked by OWS Sunday evening, which turned out to be the last full night of OWS’s occupation of Zuccotti Park.  It wasn’t until this morning that I heard the news reports that Mayor Bloomberg had ordered the park cleared (and pressure cleaned!!) last evening.

For now, Zuccotti Park is no longer the Occupiers’ world headquarters.

    Rodney ‘Videography’ Pinz

    Sup Cole World!!!

There are very few people who take as much pride in videography in Austin like the guy i’m about to introduce you to. He is a real cool and down to earth guy that can deliver a quality video  no matter what the scenario. I had a chance to sit down and speak with him about his extraordinary  work.Enjoy…

    (RP= Rodney Pinz)

    1) How did you get started doin videography

*RP –My taste taste of film making started when I was working behind the scenes as assistant AD. I quickly realized that I wanted to take control of the entire set.

    2) There is no denying your skill level, when i see one of your videos im like Rodney did it lol, how many people do you hear that from?

    *RP- Alot!

    3) How long does it take do edite a rap video as opposed to a party video?

*RP-It depends on the depth of the song and the style of the artist. At the same time event videos have a lot a lot more random footage so you’d be surprised how long they actually take.

    4) Has anyone ever complained about your work?

*RP- No, I would not say complain I would say critique but that rarely happens. ‘i try to put my best foot forward.

    5) I heard you wanna do a Drake video, is this true?

*RP-Yes, I love Drake and a video could be in the works.

    6) Any Projects you have coming up?

*RP-Yes, I am always working on projects so there is always something coming up. Just being able to say that reminds me of how blessed I am.

Be sure to check out this video to see how it all goes down when Rodney is behind the camera and finishes all the edits for your furture video.

@GossipGirl Recap: The Big Sleep No More

After the tearfully sensitive speech Chuck (Ed Westwick) gave to Blair (Leighton Meester) last week, she’s obviously wondering if he’s really changed for the better. “I simply cannot have Chuck ‘chucking’ my mind.” She stalks him, draws venn diagrams on the ‘new’ and ‘old’ Chuck, even follows him to the delightful event featuring Punchdrunk’s provocative theater experience, “Sleep No More,” mask and all.

There’s a really sexy scene when they’re trapped by the bar, alone, and you can just smell the sexual tension between them. I was dying when Chuck just went in for the kill and kissed her and released all that passion. With another slap on the face, Blair runs off. “You are incapable of change. And now, thanks to you, I’m more certain than ever that I chose the right man.” But perhaps Chuck might have done that just to help her stay on the right track, making him a changed man after all.

And what about Nate (Chace Crawford) and his new girlfriend/boss Diana (Elizabeth Hurley)? “It’s just sex and work, it doesn’t change.” Of course he’s thinking he might have a better relationship with a girl like Charlie (Kaylee DeFer), especially after that steamy kiss the other night. Charlie just wants to save her own skin, but jealous can drive some girls to do some crazy things. When the cougar and the cub have their eyes on the prey, you don’t want to get involved.

Charlie is getting really good at playing this Upper East Side back-stabber, but let’s get real. She’s no Blair Waldorf and when the truth comes out, she’s going to burst in tears. I don’t feel sorry for her, do you? Her ex Max (Brian J. Smith) comes to New York for a job interview and bumps into Serena (Blake Lively) and they hit it off. Charlie gets mixed up in Diana’s drama with Nate and we all know who’s going to win in this fight.

Charlie kisses Max thinking he’s Nate and Max kisses Charlie thinking she’s Serena. I’ll never get sick of these classic GG scenarios. After all this, not only does Charlie lose two great men that would have given her everything, she also lost a job. “Let me put you out of your misery. You’re fired.” But one thing’s for sure — Serena’s still (miraculously) in the dark. Of course, since she’s literally the only reason Charlie can still exist on this show.
