NARS Unveils Brand New Eye Paints For Fall! @NARSissist

If you’ve ever wondered how some people just get their eye makeup spot on every. single. time., I think I’ve found the answer: NARS Eye Paint.

I was lucky enough to attend the NARS Eye Paint Open House this week in NYC and I took a sneak peek at this amazing new line of creamy and colorful eye paints that can be used as an eye shadow or eyeliner.

So what’s to love about these pint-sized paints? First, it’s the range of colors NARS has introduced into the line. From sultry greens and flashy golds to midnight shimmery blues—there’s a shade to suit every complexion (and outfit!).

Second, NARS has created the ultimate in everyday wearability. This eye paint stays where it’s supposed to. Work with it fast and it will set perfectly, promising not to smudge–and it’s waterproof, too.

Yep, I’m pretty much in love with this new eye paint. And it was hard keeping my hot little mitts away from all the other goodies on offer at the NARS boutique, too. So. Much. Makeup. Such. Little. Time.

Pop into NARS this September (or shop online) to pick up their Eye Paints—I have a feeling these are going to be the hottest little must-haves for fall.

    24 Hours in Soho

As some of you know I have been working with Sturm und Drang throughout this year in Geneva and also Frankfurt. This past week, they held their very first workshop in NYC and right in the heart of Soho. It was an amazing experience to pow wow with trend experts, hair stylists and of course the product development team from P&G.

Day 1 consists of a brain monsoon (not just any storm) and lots of creative drawings from the Brooklyn based artist Joshua David Mckenney aka Joshua David.  He made a lot of our fast & funky ideas come to life and helped get our wild thoughts out of paper.  Here is some of his work.

We ended Day 1 at the delicious The Mercer Kitchen and went home with our heads spinning and our bellies full.

Scallops and Lentils and the first time I had fried sage!

On Day 2, we had a fiesta (not just any party) that solidified our ideas into tangible, ready to market products for professional salons worldwide. Complete with a Mexican inspired lunch. It was a great 2 days.

Our very international and diverse group consist of people from Canada, Australia, US, Hamburg, Paris, South America, Italy and Israel.  The venue was historical, cool and inspiring. Hope I will get a chance to be back at Soho Soleil again.

What a fantastic experience and hope some of our ideas come to fruition in 2014.

    Lovers in a Dangerous Time

Don’t the hours go shorter as the days go by
We never get to stop and open our eyes
One minute your waiting for the sky to fall
The next you’re dazzled by the beauty of it all
    Lovers in a dangerous time

These fragile bodies of touch and taste
This fragrant skin, this hair like lace
Spirits open to a thrust of grace
Never a breath you can afford to waste
    Lovers in a dangerous time
    Lovers in a dangerous time
When you’re lovers in a dangerous time

Sometimes you’re made to feel as if your love’s a crime
Nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight
Got to kick at the darkness ’til it bleeds daylight
When you’re lovers in a dangerous time
    Lovers in a dangerous time
