Top Rules & Ideas on How to Wear Rings

Even though our choice of jewelry and how we decide to style it is quite a personal thing, there are still some rules to keep in mind. Getting familiar with them will not only prevent you from making a fashion no-no, but it can also help you out quite a bit if you don’t know how to style your pieces.

Rings have particularly interesting guidelines when it comes to proper ways of wearing them. So, if you’re now thinking about this and can’t seem to remember a single rule, here are some top rules and ideas on how to style and wear rings.

    Statement rings

Statement rings have been a very popular choice of rings for quite some time now. As the name suggests, this type of ring should be the star of the show. What this means is that if you choose to wear a statement ring, it would be best to wear it on its own, or at least on its own on one hand. For instance, you can click here to find turquoise rings and browse through them until something catches your eye. With a gorgeous single statement ring you’ll be doing just that – making a statement, which can easily elevate your entire outfit.

    The layered look

Another popular trend is the layered look. Choosing to embellish every single one of your fingers with a ring or two can look incredibly stylish – but only if done properly. As a rule of thumb – pun not intended – all the rings you choose to stack and layer together need to have a common denominator. So, what this means is that you should choose to layer rings that go well together. They can complement each other in shape, style color or finish. For instance, you can choose to layer simple band rings of different materials and finishes that still all have more or less the same shape. Or you can layer rings of the same style in the same finish, but have them mismatch in thickness.

    Space out your rings

It is also worth mentioning that when choosing to wear multiple rings, you need to be careful with their distribution. What this means is that you should space out your rings in a balanced manner to avoid ending up with an absolute clutter on one and nothing on the other hand. Symmetry and harmony make some of the best looks, so make sure you keep both of your hands in balance with proper rings placement.

    Choose the finger

When choosing on which finger to place your ring, you need to know that different fingers have different meanings. For instance, a ring on the ring finger can symbolize marriage when worn either on the left or the right hand depending on the religion. Of course, with so many different cultures out there, these meanings can vary significantly. So, make sure you learn more about the meanings in your region if you can’t decide on which finger to put a ring.

    Know your size

Finally, knowing your ring sizes is also very important. A ring that’s too small or too big simply won’t look good. That’s why you should measure your ring size for every finger on both hands. This is also important to mention as the size of the rings that fits your right hand index finger doesn’t necessarily have to fit your left hand index finger, so keep that in mind.

These were just some of the most important tips to keep in mind when wearing rings. Of course, if you don’t agree with anything that’s mentioned previously – you do you. However, if you want to ensure that you always look fashionable and stylish, consider trying some of these tips out.

Invited to an Indian Wedding? Here is what you can wear to steal the show

So you’ve been invited to an Indian wedding. What’s next?

You’ve probably heard about how colourful and glamorous Indian events are but if you’ve never attended one, you are in for a shocker.  Choosing an outfit can be a mind-boggling affair if you are not familiar with Indian events. Regardless, who says you cannot be the reason heads turn? Absolutely no one. We’ve done the hard work and combined a list of the best wears that will make you steal the show at your next wedding party.

What you should know before deciding what to wear

First things first, two points are important to note before you decide what to wear to that wedding

    1. Go bright:

Weddings are for celebrations and nothing depicts a celebratory mood than a bright hue. No matter the season or venue, bright colours are associated with celebrations while dark colours are associated with sad events and situations. When invited to a party, look for attires that are brightly coloured and don them on. Red is mostly for brides so you may consider choosing any other colour.

    2. Make it traditional:

Weddings provide an opportunity for you to showcase your individuality. True! You should know however that Indian weddings are steep in tradition and putting on a traditional attire will help you better embrace tradition and culture. Thus when making a choice of what to wear, remember to go for traditional wear. Fusion wear that combines modern elements with traditional elements may be a good idea too.

    3. Accessories:

Combined rightly, your accessories can help touch up how you look. From the footwear to the clutch bags, the pieces of jewellery, Indian ornaments are known for their elegant finishes and breathtaking designs. Ensure you know and have the right accessories for your cloth and body.

What you can wear to steal the show

    1. Sarees

Sarees bring out the beauty and poise of the woman. It can be worn in a variety of styles including the stylish butterfly style, pants style, cocktail style. Of these, the cocktail style leads given the ease of wearing, gorgeousness and fashion associated with it.

    2. Anarkali Salwar Suits:

You can never go wrong with an Anarkali salwar suit which has just the right amount of what is modern and in vogue. The salwar suit is known for its lengthy flares which draws attention to the room and gives you a sweeping effect as she walks across the room, there are newer designs that favour shorter flares.

    3. Lehenga:

As water is indispensable to the body, so is the lehenga to the Indian wedding. A Bollywood lehenga look will have heads turning in your direction. You can combine an embroidered lehenga with a crop top for a magical outlook. Use with an oxidized earring, a matching necklace, fancy footwear, and an inviting clutch and you are bound to become the center of attraction in the room.

    4. Sharara Style Salwar Suit

The Sharara suit will make you an all-time wonder when its flare is combined with a salwar kameez style. Absolute perfection right at your fingertips for that wedding.

    Finally…

Indian wedding celebrations are associated with brightness and gaiety and you certainly deserve to shine bright like a diamond. Wearing any of these attires is a good way to show up brightly, steal the show, and leave your audience mesmerized.

A Chili Sauce Dedicated to All The foodies, Spice Lovers, And Generations of Vietnamese Folks, Living in The US Wanting A Taste of Home

I am so excited to introduce one of my favorite chili sauces in the world, Me’s Way. Mẹ’s Way is a Vietnamese style chili sauce founded by Chau Tonnu, a first generation Vietnamese American immigrant. She came to the U.S at the age of seventeen along with her family and holds many precious memories of Vietnam, from eating street foods with friends, to biking to school. These memories of her formative years and her experiences as an adult living in the U.S led to her sharing a piece of her culture through food.

Mẹ’s Way is committed to our values of heritage and quality. Unique to Huế, Vietnam our chili sauce recipe is passed down three generations from mothers to daughters. Each jar is made in small batches by hand, with carefully picked ingredients and little-to-no preservatives.

Their sauce is dedicated for all the foodies, spice lovers, and generations of Vietnamese folks, young and old, living in the U.S wanting a taste of home. Me’ Way makes their chili sauce in small batches to ensure that each jar is of the freshest and highest quality to keep up the tradition of how the sauce was originally made in moms kitchen in Vietnam.

Mẹ means mom in Vietnamese, and as the name sake suggests,
this sauce was made using the founder mother’s recipe,
    her way.

    • This sauce is traditionally paired with some of Huế’s most iconic food such as bún bò Huế’s (Huế’s beef noodle soup) and cơm hến (clam mixed rice)
    • This sauce is a wonderful blend of spicey, savory, and sweet with the distinct aroma of fried garlic
    • Unique in its use of anchovy, this chili sauce is unlike other hot chili oils
    • The combination of simple ingredients is a testament that less is more
    • Available in 8 oz. and 16 oz

MẸ’S WAY CHILI SAUCE – VEGETARIAN

    • Although the original Huế chili sauce is known for its distinctive anchovy base, this vegan friendly version still holds all the same flavor notes and aroma
    • To be inclusive of our wide range of customer base Me’s Way are proud to create a vegan version
    • A vegan version of the original chili sauce without sacrificing flavor
    • Made with vegan ingredients
    • Available in 8 oz. and 16 oz.

MẸ’S WAY CHILI SAUCE – BUNDLES

Mẹ’s Way Chili Sauce goes perfectly with Pho or the more traditional Bun Bo Hue. Bun Bo Hue is one of the most famous dishes in Hue Cuisine, and should be top of any Hue food guide! Similar to the more famous Vietnamese noodle soup, Pho. Bun Bo Hue is quite a bit spicier and naturally is a perfect dish to try some Mẹ’s Way Chili Sauce on! Mẹ’s Way uses only the best ingredients and cooks in small batches, made the traditional way. You can be assured knowing that Mẹ’s Way makes authentic Vietnamese Chili Sauce with little-to-no preservatives. Dedicated to all the Foodies, Spice Lovers and anyone who loves authentic Vietnamese Cuisine!

    The Story of Mẹ’s Way:

Mẹ’s Way is founded by Chau Tonnu, a first generation Vietnamese American. Immigrated to the U.S at the age of seventeen along with her family, Chau holds many precious memories of Vietnam. From eating street foods with friends, to biking to school under the crimson shades of phượng vĩ (royal poinciana). These memories of her formative years and her experiences as an adult living in the U.S led her wanting to share a piece of Vietnamese culture through what she knows best, the language of food. Mẹ’s Way sauce is dedicated for all the foodies, spice lovers, and generations of Vietnamese folks, young and old, living in the U.S wanting a taste of home.

COVID-19 Impetus for New D2C Biotech-Based Skincare Solution That Rivals Injectables

Traditional practices unite with modern technology to unlock the mystery of seemingly ageless skin.

Dermafirm’s mission is not only to educate, but to empower today’s consumers to learn about the impact of nature’s ingredients. Now you don’t have to choose between clean and effective. Through our initiatives, Dermafirm is supporting a movement that is helping to change the way the world feelsabout skin care.

Dermafirm USA, Inc. announced the U.S. launch of BIOTOC, a new prestige K-beauty skincare line that is a less invasive alternative to injectables. Originally slated for B2B, the company pivoted to D2C due to COVID-19 stay-at-home behaviors. BIOTOC™ is a professional grade, anti-aging facial treatment that’s been reshaped to cater to consumers embracing the self-care trend. The line first launched in June in Korea to rave reviews and is officially fulfilling online orders in the U.S. market starting at August 5th.

“BIOTOC offers visible results, as a topical alternative to injectables that can be applied at home. Given the business reality of increased consumer demand for safe, natural and effective DIY products, and the unknown of when businesses would re-open, we switched gears. We repositioned our new prestige skincare line’s direction from B2B to D2C and haven’t looked back,” says Paula Park, CEO and Founder, Dermafirm USA.

The new line is by Dermafirm, the South Korean cosmeceutical company, known for innovative R&D behind its naturally clean products. The company designated the U.S. as the first international market for this luxury line launch, following its home launch on Korea’s GS SHOP, the HSN equivalent, where BIOTOC sold out in an hour.

Its revolutionary professional grade 3X ampoule is more concentrated than a serum, and has been receiving positive feedback from U.S. dermatologists, estheticians and influencers alike during pre-launch sampling. Results were shared at a private pre-launch sampling event in July (see some quotes here).

BIOTOC exemplifies the movement towards clean and healthy skin care that gets results. The line has been proven in clinical studies to increase the skin’s energy production, improve the appearance of wrinkles, as well as brighten and restore skin’s elasticity.

The user-activated BIOTOC 3X deploys Astaxanthin, an ingredient rarely found in skincare products, and mixes it with professional grade Cross-linked Hyaluronic Acid, 3 Peptides, Collagen Hydrolysates and Ceramide. Astaxanthin, known as the most robust antioxidant available, is proven to be 6,000 times more powerful than Vitamin C, 800 times stronger than CoQ10, 550 times stronger than Vitamin E, 75 times stronger than Alpha Lipoic Acid and 40 times stronger than beta-carotene.

“All Dermafirm products are well thought of in formulations and are free from harmful ingredients. They are very effective, yet mild and non-irritating. I personally witnessed over the years the effectiveness and benefits my extended family and friends have enjoyed while using Dermafirm products,”               shares Paula. (PAULA PARK, FOUNDER & CEO)

As a woman-led, science and technology based company, Dermafirm USA is drawn to the advancement of women in science and technology disciplines. “At Dermafirm USA, beauty is more than just skin deep. We are celebrating the beautiful minds of our women in STEM for the beauty they bring to the world through their discoveries,” says Kim Park, VP Customer and Community Advocacy.
