    What I found @Beaconscloset

    I love taking the things I don’t wear anymore to Beacon’s Closet!  But what I love more is finding treasures! 🙂  Last week I went to Beacon’s Closet and found a vintage mint green swimsuit.  How retro!  Looks just like something WILDFOX would do.

    Perfect for these hot hot summer days

    Refreshing Hawaiian Cocktails from Halekulani

    Right about now, I’m starting to itch for a tropical trip. It’s been six months since I was last in Miami and nearly a year since the three months that I spent living in Cancun. I’m going through withdrawal! But I just found out my cousin will be based in Hawaii for his new flight attendant gig, and I am already plotting my trip in which I will be crashing his pad!

    In the meanwhile, I’m going to try out these delicious, refreshing cocktail recipes from Halekulani, Waikiki’s legendary beachfront hotel, and wanted to share them with you.

    Along with Halekulani’s signature Mai Tai, which was invented and still served at the hotel, these summertime concoctions are available at the award-winning Orchids restaurant, by the pool and of course, while enjoying traditional Hawaiian entertainment at Halekulani’s famed outdoor gathering spot House Without a Key, which is immortalized in a 1925 Charlie Chan novel.

    Enjoy!

    @StilaCosmetics 2012 Summer Favorites

    Having attended two beauty shows in the past month, I have to say I’ve grown in love with the Stila booth! The ProArtists are wonderfully friendly and helpful, and I always manage to find just the product I’m looking for when I stop by. This month, I discovered three products that I couldn’t help but share! They are the One Step Correct, the Set & Bronze Baked Powder Trio, and the Custom Color Blush in Self-Adjusting Coral.

    I love all three of these products, especially for the summer! The One Step Correct primer acts as a skin tone corrector and brightening serum. With the benefits of its “Youth Revival” mineral complex, and the triple-swirled helix that works to minimize redness, counteract sallow undertones, and as an illuminator, I like to use it even without any makeup on. Next, the Set and Bronze Trio — a bronzer that also sets my makeup, this powder definitely makes it to my summer essentials list. I love it and it’s quickly become part of my daily makeup routine. It highlights and gives off a subtle youthful glow, seemingly effortless. And last, but not least, the Custom Color Blush is the newest member to my Stila collection. I love the look of coral during the summer, and this product reacts with your skin tone to create a one of a kind customized glow perfect for you.
    I’m a huge fan of Stila Cosmetics; what Stila product is your beauty essential for this summer?

    Summer Sunnies with @Lumete

    Happy May Day! What better way to kick off the new month than with an equally new pair of awesome, show stopping shades? Lumete Eyewear has a unique line of sun blockers that’ll give you an extra edge this summer. The collection includes six distinct styles in a variety of designs and colors! My favorite pair for the summer is the Vendrina Seafoam design. The pale green color is great to accent the trending pastels I’ll be wearing this season, plus I love the dipped side design — so chic!
    Based in New York, Lumete is an independent sunglasses brand for women, by women. A favorite of style icons such as Ms. Dita Von Teese, Lumete’s innovative handmade sunglasses combine sculptural detail, symbolic ornamentation and ultrafemininity.
    The name Lumete (‘lou-met’) is derived from amulet, which means aprecious object used for protection and luck, and lumen, meaning light. Drawing inspiration from alchemy and Gnostic symbolism, Lumete’s designs evoke a reverence for eyewear.
