HCB #50: keep it in check!
Tis the season of those weird cravings… you know, the ones you get once the weather starts getting a little colder, and your appetite get’s a lil uh… CRAZY… I know you know what I’m talking about.
some like it naked…Anyway for those of us that find ourselves wanting to indulge a lil more during the cold months, BUT are determined to keep the health and shape in CHECK during the cold season; might I suggest we reach for more delicious and nutritious options, versus “delicious” i-will-fatten-you-up options that just leave you so damn disappointed that you gave in. I’m just saying.
but a lil balsamic dressing ain’t never hurt nobody… mmm this was GOOD!!I know a lot of people only associate having an appetizer when they’re dining out, but I find having a yummy salad before my meal usually fills me up, thus preventing me from um… over indulging… *eeek!*

HCB #49: Tomato… Tom-ah-to
I know it’s been a HOT minute since I gave you guys some food posts but I’ll be honest, I haven’t been eating anything all that exciting. Bagels, bagels and more bagels, and the occasional veggie samosa. I know, sooo BAD. Whatever. Between school and piecing together this very interesting puzzle called life; I haven’t had any time to cook…
the flavors were starting to get friendly…time to bring it all together…HOWEVER, last night I brought a couple veggies together and made a DELICIOUS and NUTRITIOUS vegan friendly tomato pasta sauce, that had me licking my lips, chin AND bowl after I was done. Mmm t’was GOOD.

HCB #46: Buttermilk heaven
I’m not a big breakfast eater… honestly, I find the whole breakfast routine to be rather tiresome.. I can think of a number of other things that I’d rather do, with that time spent on making breakfast in the morning… just saying. But, I know it’s the most important meal of the day bla bla bla; so I made buttermilk scones.
I love making dough 🙂roll it out to your desired thicknesstime to cut em out!egg wash those bad boys!you know I’m a sucka for cranberries!I just wake up, warm one up, put some butter on it and I’m gone. 2 minutes tops. Works good for me, more time to do other stuff 🙂

HCB #45: eat this PIE…
“But I, when I undress me..Each night, upon my knees..Will ask the Lord to bless me..With apple-pie and cheese.”~Eugene FieldIt was raining, I didn’t wanna watch TV or be on the computer so… LOLgotta work that dough the right way… easiest dough to make everit should feel nice and firm but soft…roll it over your pan (easier if you wrap the dough around the rolling pin and then lay it over the pan)Before rolling, I cut the dough into two pieces; one for the bottom and one for the top…easiest way to trim the excess is to roll the rolling pin over the pieI pre-baked it for like a minute or two“We’re quite volatile as individuals, but that doesn’t work exponentially when we are together.
